You might as well do the entire job, since it will have to be done eventually and now is as good a time as any. Especially if you are going to repipe in copper. Regardless of dielectric unions, the copper will cause deterioration of the steel pipes. : When having old galvanized pipe replaced, which is more cost effective to do: replace just the horizonal pipes in this one-story house with spacious attic, or replace both horizonal and vertical pipes? Will greatly appreciate opinions/advice/counsel.
