: The factory temperature setting is very low and few plumbers take the time to reset it so that could be your problem. Otherwise the factory's inexpensive elements could have burned out. Neither one requires replacing the heater.

:::It's possible you have a unit with a defective cold supply within the unit. If this tube breaks off cold water enters in the same area as hot is drawn out. There is a class action suite pending on certsin models made beween 93-96 you may have received the tail end of this batch. 1-800-329-0561 is the # for this suite, give them your model #.
