Vent cleaned - Afterthoughts

We just paid a plumber about $325 to clean a clog in a drain vent that was manifesting as frequent shower drain backups.

The clog was caused primarily by a clot of hair about the same color and length as my wife's. Now that the clog is gone, I'd like to minimize the chance of it happening again. Is there some time of catch I can install directly below the shower drain grille that would catch most of the hair and whatnot? I know it would fill up frequently, but it would be easier and less expensive to clean.
