: Looking for advice on the replacement of PB piping in our home and a contractor to do this work. : It was installed when this house was built around 1985. We just had our third "pin hole" leak repaired. Call the Consumer Plumbing Recovery Center. You may qualify for a replumb. 800-876-4698 You say you had a problem with pinholing. PB failures have been caused primarily by acetal fittings made in the 1980's. PB doesn't normally pinhole except: 1) recirculating plumbing systems (for which it was not recommended); if it was kinked during installation; superchlorinated water off pool chlorinators. |
