: Terry, I have lived in this house for 11 years and within the past year, the upstairs tub has started gurgling when the toilet is flushed. The bathroom has a stale water smell as well (I expect it is coming from the bathtub drain). Where do I start looking?

It sounds like the p-trap on the tub is siphoning dry and losing it's trap seal. You may be able to snake the tub drain, and improve it. If not, checking the venting may be an option. Terry
