Toto Ultramax .... drain line carry? ... or do I need pressure assist.

Hi Terry / board at large, I'm considering installing a Toto Ultramax to replace an old, water wasting
toilet in an older(1956) home.
I've read that these older sewage out pipes require toilets to have greater
drain-line carry to move the waste sufficiently.
In your experience, does the ULtramax work well in older homes/pipes OR
would a toilet with more carry be needed (i'm thinking along the lines
of gerber ultraFlush). Any help/comments on this topic would be appreciated. -Kenneth
