Shower remodeling question

I am retiling my shower stall and have a few questions. I plan on removing the current mud shower pan and replacing it with a one piece shower pan. Do I need a vapor barrier between the cement board and the studs on the walls or under the pan? I also will need to move the drain pipe to a new location which will require going through one floor joist. What do I need to do to reenforce the joist? Thanks for the advice. Philip
