|In response to Re: Black Water and Potassium Chloride Water Softener Pellets|
I was looking for anything about potassium chloride used as a substitute for sodium chloride in soft water. My wife and I are thinking of purchasing a soft water unit. We were told that using potassium chloride would be good for the environment and great for the lawn and plants. However, we've not been able to find anything about drinking soft water treated by potassium chloride. We have found that potassium chloride can be very dangerous on its own if used incorrectly, but what about drinking soft water treated by KCl?
