Sounds like you need new washers in the faucet handles. You have to turn the water off at the cut-offs (usually in the wall behind the shower) then take the faucet handles off, then unscrew the valve itself. Take the valve to the hardware store and find the right washers to fit it. You might as well do both the hot and cold while you're at it. Good luck, Bob
