Steve: By installing a captive air storage tank, you can forget about the water logging problem and the nuisence of draining down the waterlogged tank forever. If your pump is not a submersible type, you can install a AVC (Air Volume Control) in the suction line to the pump. Everytime the pump cycles on a small amount of air is injested into the water system and should maintain the needed air balast in your existing tank with no further waterlogging. Lots of luck....Bud I am confused. The instructions on my well tank says to: : 1. Shut off the power to the well. : In the past I have done all but step 4. : (NOTE: I am doing this to address a waterlogged tank issue that is causing the pump to cycle too often. In my last home I did this annually.) : Two questions:
