Russ: They make a "Heater Pan" for just such situations. They come in plastic and metal and are available at Plumbing Supply Houses. Bud I am in the middle of some basement ronovations and the next step is to do the laundry/utility room. The gas water heater is currently on the concrete floor but we would like to have a rasied wood subfloor throughout the laudry/utility room. So here's my question: Is it possible to put the gas water heater on a wood subfloor, and if so are there any extra requirements such as cementboard instead of plywood, etc? Any problems/issues in doing this that I should be aware of?
: Thanks in advance, : Russ Hauser
