RE: Claw foot tub support

In the process of a remodel, moving claw foot tub from orig. loc. to other side of bathroom, joists are dimensional 2X8's, should I rip up the floor and sister in additional supports? It's been up there 110 yrs...thanks in advance...Also, building a shower in closet,,,rock board tile etc, do I need extra support here to? Plaster is being removed and thats certainly a lot heavier I think than tile and rock board?
