: Use the standard 4x3 closet bend with a 4" spigot end for the closet flange. It will be the shortest legal fitting you can use. You can cut the spigot end off after the flange is installed if it sticks up too high.
: : We are adding a bathroom upstairs in an old house. We would like to keep the higher ceiling if possible. Is it mandated by Uniform Plumbing Code to use a long sweep off the closet flange? Or could we use a standard sweep and not have to lower our ceiling height to accommodate the longer sweep? Thanks for any help.
Are closet bends made in PVC? I was going to use PVC pipe and fittings, not cast iron.
