In response to Re: drain lever a real "stuck-up"
: I am looking forward, this week-end, to repairing a bathtub drain which has the lever permanently wishing to flop in the up (stop) position. It will drain, but has to be manually held down. If you walk away, it immediately flops back up and holds water. Do I need to replace the Striker Spring, or adjust the Striker rod "up?" What do I want to do? thanks

It sounds like you just need to replace the face plate. There is a spring that rides on a ramp behind the lever that usually wears. Try replacing that first.

Good luck
