: I got the same puddle, mine happens when it rains like hell, a small amount of water somehow runs down the liner pipe and ends up out on top, then runs down the side to the floor. Hope this helps!
Put a piece of tin foil on top of the water heater and below the hot and cold water connections. When it drips, you'll hear the sound and see the drop and be able to better trace where (just above the drop) the leak comes from. Look at the copper flex connectors, especially at the cold water connection where dissimolar metals are joined |
