: Installed an AS flushmate model#2292 toilet and new sink several months ago. When we run the cold water in the sink you can smell sewer gas. We never had a problem with the old setup. My husband had replaced the drain under the sink several times. My husband is very handy, he has triple checked everything he has installed plus asked plumbers. Home depot, where we bought the toilet says it must be the power flush. Do you thing its the toilet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Home Depot has plumbers?

The pressure assist would have no affect on the smell. Things to consider would be:
An ample for the toilet where it meets the floor flange.
A p-trap that will hold a water seal. ( I have seen some installations that used a flex pipe instead )
Does the drain on the sink siphon dry?
