: desperately needing help! I have a water heater that was installed in 92 (i suppose it still has at least 5 more year of life?)

: the hot water can't fill up a regular bath tub. also, we can't take shower one after another, there needs to be at least a 20 mins recess in between. is there something wrong with my hot water heater?

: do i need a new one? or just a repair job will do?

You have 8 years on your six year tank. It may be good for a total of 12 years, but it's anybody's guess.
The problem may be with the lower element or thermostat, or the diptube.
Repair may come to 1/2 what a new tank is.
It's your call.
