Yes, the sewage ejector pump is designed to lift the waste water as well as pump it away. The ejector pump sits in a receiving tank that gets maybe five to ten gallons full (more in commercial installations) when a float rises and starts the pump. It grinds the material small enough to get pumped up to the elevation that the pump is rated for. Yes it can pump up the small incline.
