|In response to Re: Porcelin Bathtubs|
: Hi Terry, I need a safe product to brighten up my worn tub. It is in an old house in GA. Most products do not recommend on worn Porcelin tubs. I would like to see it white again.
: Tnx for your help.
There are excellent products available today to brighten your used greying tub. Look in the yellow pages in your area for porcelain enamel paint applications. Usually the discoloration arrives from material being etched into the normally non porous surface, and that requires cleaning, usually with a very strong and very caustic acid solution that can't be dumped down the drain. Then a paint application is applied and your tub will sparkle again, and you will be able to use normal cleaning methods.
