Kevin, You don't bend PVC pipe and you don't take apart PVC joints. You have to cut the pipe somewhere sensible and re-plumb it to the new disposal. If some part of the old plumbing "looks like it will fit" it probably doesn't. Get a plumber if you are not comfortable with PVC plumbing. : I'm replacing my garbage disposal. The new disposal will not go in without bending the pvc pipes. I don't want to bend them and can see that if I lengthen one pipe (about 1" I'm guessing) and shorten another, it should all be moved over enough to get in the unit. I don't know how to remove the straight section of pipe from the connectors without cutting and breaking it all apart. How do I remove the straight PVC pipe from the connectors?
