|In response to Re: water backed up between pipes|
The 1" pipe should be the AC condensate and the 2" should be a trap riser. If this is so, then the trap is probably full of sediment from the AC. If you can get a sewer snake down it, you may find that it will begin draining almost immediately.
: Upon investigating a leak in our wall, discovered a 1 inch pvc pipe that runs down the wall (inside of the wall) and into a bigger 2 inch pvc pipe. The pipes are not sealed together. It appears to be part of the drainage system. Anyway, the water is backed up and is very slowly overflowing over the top of the 2 inch pipe. In other words, it appears to be plugged! The 2 pipes meet about 6 feet from the ground but I can't tell where the 2 inch pipe goes (only that it goes down). Any suggestions?
