: my fiberglass shower has a crack on the side. Now the bottom of the shower feels soft and spongy near the drain area. Can I repair or should I replace it? Thanks for your help The soft and spongy feeling comes as a result of dry rot causing the sub floor below the shower pan to be eaten away. Just sealing the crack now isn't going to fix the soft spongy floor. Call a LICENSED plumber for an estimate to replace the shower and repair the wood below the shower pan |
