: I want to replace a single kitchen sink with a double sink and use the existing garbage disposal. The old sink is about 2 inches deeper than the new one. Any tips on how to configure the new pipes?

If you really wanted to, you could use all of the old piping and simply cut the tailpiece shorter by the two inches and reinstall. If you don't have that much to play with, your only real issue is getting the trap deep enough to allow a tailpiece tube to connect, and then custom piping the bend to get the connection back into the existing drain. Without custom piping if you dont have the fall, the other recourse is to lower the drainage point at the wall, by accessing the drain waste vent, cutting it two inched shorter, and extending the nipple at the top of the tee by the same two inches.
