There are long term corrosion problems, but they would not be helped by dielectric unions or anodes. Since drainage fittings are not made in the materials you specify, you could not use them.
: Is there a potential corrosion problem with galvanized steel pipe that is connected to cast iron pipe without any dielectric union or sacrificial anode? Also, what do you think is the best type of material to use for drain pipes. I would like to use a plastic such as polypropylene or CPVC because corrosion shouldn't be much of a problem. Thanks for your advice.
