: Our built-in one-piece fiberglass bathtub has
cracked down the middle of the tub. Upon
investigating the cause, we found that there is a
dirt bed under the tub. Our house is about 23
years old, concrete slabbed, and in the main bath,
there are little doors to look under the tubs.

under the tubs. Evidently the dirt has shifted
under this tub,, leaving no support. IS this
unusual construction? How do we go about
replacing this one piece tub and surround wall?

We had one replaced. It came in 3 pieces & if properly caulked works great!
