Re-using shower wall tiles

I have taken off a number of wall tiles in my shower because they had come loose and I had signs of damp appearing on adjacent walls. I want to re-use these tiles because I can't buy matching ones any longer, and I don't want to replace all the tiles in the bathroom (there are lots, all perfectly fine!). What's the easiest way of getting the old adhesive off? Thanks. Terry
