In response to Re: Joint Leaks
: I tried soldering copper pipes (1/2 in size) eveytime i connect it to the water source ther would be a leak in the "Y" connection somewhere. do i need to buy new "Y"s and new pipes or is there a way of saving these pipes for resoldering? PLEASE E-MAIL THE RESPONSE BECAUSE I DON'T GET TO FREQUENT THIS DISCUSSION BOARD. THANXALOT

If you are having leaks, you can check for clean pipes, well fluxed, no-lead solder (mainly tin)
The heat should be evenly spread between fitting and pipe. A faucet will need to be open to let the hot air escape during soldering. Terry
