What's the best DHW heater for a geo system?

What's the best tank water heater to use with a geothermal system with a desuperheater and a buffer tank? I do not have natural gas available, but can get propane. There are usually two people but can be four on weekends, and we take long showers. There are two bathrooms, but we will be adding a third. I do not like the idea of tankless. They are too expensive to start with and do not seem to be problem free - I read too many complaints about them, plus they do not seem to last long.
