What can I try next for a shower head leak?

My guess is that someone left out the springs last time and you left them out again. If that's the case, you'll probably start leaking again soon. The springs keep tension on the rubber seats, so they seal better. It's also possible that the old springs are stuck down in the little holes. If so, you'll need to remove them with a small screwdriver before installing new ones.

If you ever need to replace the cartridge, just bring it into the plumbing supply store and match it up.
