Help! We ran our well dry last night. We watered the garden too much because we forgot the sprinkler was on. User error. The well pump does have a Pumptec pump saver on it. We waited for several hours and tried to reset the pump via the pump saver but it will not come on. The pump saver's power light is green and the Load light seems to be green, but that might just be 'bleed' light from the power light. We are going to by pass the pump saver today because after sitting all night, the pump still has not come on.
Could the pump saver have failed and the pump burned up? Or might the saver have worked but there is a problem with the pump saver resetting so removing it will get the pump going? How reliable are Pumptec pump savers? Assuming it was installed properly and it's not an installation issue, do they fail a lot?
Any advice?
All this for a little extra green patch of lawn for my 2 year old to play on!
