My toilet bowl is slowly overflowing with clean water. The water to the toilet is disconected and the tank is empty. We have not run any water in the house for 2 days and it has slowly over flowed a couple of times.

Is anyone familiar with this???

Is that the lowest drain you have -- including shower, tub?

If you turn off the water to the house, does the water continue to flow?

I would get a utility pump to prevent overflow as a short term treatment.

It sounds like a main line back up. If the main line is plugged, then an fixture elsewhere in the home and cause it to flood. I've seen where people using a shower upstairs will cause toilets to overflow if the line is plugged.

It could also be from neighbors if you share a line with them.
