    Greetings,
Lately, whenever I use the second-floor bathroom sink faucet (hot or cold), I can hear the water running down the pipe clearly. (Noise is heard near our unused shower drain area). I normally don’t hear it much. Is this normal for colder months?
    Thanks!

    Dry shower trap?

The water in the trap can evaporate, if unused, especially during heating season.

Your shower trap no longer has water in it. Run the shower for a half minute every couple of weeks to keep the trap sealed.
