I haven't had any reports from the family of ever running out of hot water. Of course, your experience may vary depending on the number of persons in your house, size of tubs being filled, and the shower heads you use.

Very nice job. Any idea who makes the standoffs/clamps you used on your copper pipe? It looks like you've got two different types. Struggling to find anything suitable stocked locally. Thanks!

Thanks. For the standoffs/clamps I picked them up at Menards. I believe they were Sioux Chief brand split ring hangers and brackets with some threaded rod. You can see them here: http://www.siouxchief.com/products/support/brackets/commercial-brackets/overhead. The standoffs were the same, just two different sizes. I used some standard one-hole straps from the electrical department for the drains and the plastic snap-in clamps where the pipe ran along the ceiling joists.

For a lot of my parts, I ordered from www.supplyhouse.com. I'm not sure if they have those hangers or ship to Canada.

More specifically:

The support brackets (the part that attaches to the wall) were: #541 (http://www.siouxchief.com/products/.../commercial-beam-clamp-and-connector-products). They changed the design from a cast product to a stamped product about midway through my project.

The split ring hangers (the part that attaches to the pipe) were: #516 (http://www.siouxchief.com/products/support/brackets/commercial-brackets/overhead/split-ring-hanger). I used the epoxy coated.
Thanks--I'll check it out!
