I am putting in a bar sink in a basement and purchased a Little Giant watewater removal system (WRSC-6). I have a drain pipe installed, but no vent line, since I planned to use a mechanical vent (Studor Mini). The installation instuctions for the pump specically say not to use any type of mechanical vent and this was also verified by Little Giant's tech support. I guess this due to the fact that this unit uses a diaphram style switch (wish they metined this in their specs!).
Adding a vent line at this poiny would require a lot of demolition to new walls, etc. I also looked at other systems from Liberty and found the same situation. Grundfos makes one (SU332AVSPAQ )that appears to use a float, although I can't seem to verify what is required for venting.
My preference would be to use the Little Giant Unit since it is past the point that I can return it and it appears to be a decent unit. Any thoughts on how I might vent solve this prblem without tearing walls out and spending lots of $$$?
