Use of Copper Potable Water Pipe Underground

Does anybody know why Cu is not commonly used underground in Metrovancouver even though it is permitted in the BCPC?

what is used? probably just cost of copper vs using poly service tube or munici-pex or other

Possibly the type of soil as copper in cinders or acidic will corrode

copper more expensive. same reason they dont use it indoors either. Down here in the USA I think not many homes being built with copper plastic saves a bundle of cash . a million or more on a house the still run copper much of time still
