I am building a garage apt and running water from house, about 150' away. This is a closed water system, on a well with air and water type pressure tank. I have one expansion tank under house between tank and electric water heater (supply line for apt comes off this line also), Second water heater is located in apt. I was going to put second expansion tank right next to the first one under house (for logistical reasons) Is it OK that second expansion tank is that far from apt. water heater?

You have a well with a fairly big pressure tank. I doubt that you need an additional little expansion tank for a water heater. Maybe I am mistaken.
