What is the best way to convert a tub to an ADA barrier-free shower on a concrete slab? Are there any pre-fab retrofit pans available? This needs to be wheelchair accessible.

This is done all the time. Unfortunatley it is not a minor project. An internet search will reveal many prefab shower stalls and pans. I would guess that you could expect to pay as much as $10,000 for a remodel like this.

As is discussed on this forum often, you cannot just put a drain in a concrete slab and put tile over it. A shower is much more complicated than this, hence the cost, whether it is all prefab or all custom built on site.
