Hello,

Im replacing the tub in kids bathroom on second floor.
Plans were to cut current drain p trap out. Then dry fit tub and use measurements to assemble everything so I can set tub down and attach.
OR would it just best easier to attach overflow and waste to the tub, set the tub, then open up the kitchen ceiling and re do the trap and connections?

Thanks

Often I will fit the drain to the tub, and then remove it.
Then I take the measurements and install the new trap in the correct postion. I can then drop the tub down on it.
Is it easier to open the ceiling to install a new waste and overflow. Yes. Always.
