Hello all. First time poster but I have been reading posts for a while. This is a wonderful community! I hope someone can help me. I am having our TOTO Neorest 600 reinstalled by our plumber to another bathroom in our place. After reinstall the toilet is flushing properly but the washlet is not operating (no water with the butt cleaning functions). The wand extends but there is no water that comes out of the rear, front cleaning options. I am trying to trouble shoot an notice that there is a missing screw that connects the washlet in the back of the toilet. The other 3 screws are there but the 4th screw got lost in the process. I went to HD and got a replacement screw but it is slightly different and not quite as long. Does TOTO use some magical screw that requires all 4 screws to be inserted that may touch some sensor for the washlet to function? Any other ideas on why the malfunction? Thank you!

It's more likely a wire.
The controls don't care how firmly the seat attaches to the bowl.
You can get parts from TOTO. Tech support at TOTO may help.

Thanks Terry. Any idea what wire specifically? What would be the best corrective action? DIY fix or have a toto rep come out? I informed my plumber of your reply and he said "not my problem. I just install them and don't fix them."

Time for a new plumber. What a douche.

Apparently, he just BREAKS them and doesn't fix them, since it worked fine on your old toilet. As Cacher Chick says, you can check the obvious: is there water running properly to the thing? Is there any kind of obvious wire not connected?

You can call Toto customer service and ask them if they have any ideas. They are friendly and helpful. It's an 888 number

Would that we all could have Terry as our plumber. Since he sells these things, I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't just leave you in the lurch. You might ask Toto as well if there's a plumber or tech in the area that they recommend. Then come back here and report, and we will try to help you some more.

Or you could call your jerk plumber back and explain to him that, in your view, he broke the thing, so unless he wants to end up in small claims court explaining why he shouldn't have to buy you a new one, maybe he could find the time to come by and figure out what he screwed up. Or refer you to someone who knows what he is doing.

I expect those are repaired by a specialist or depot. Lots of wires and electronics in those. I have been inside of a 300, and I figure the 600 would be worse.
