We are working on improving our QC processes & would greatly appreciate your feed back.

When installing a frostproof sillcock via a sweat connection -

1. What temperature torch do you usually use?
2. What is the melting point of the solder you usually use?

Thanks for your help,
Quarter Ball

Most DIY use a propane torch. Doubt if many, if any at all, have any idea what the temperature is. Same with solder. When you sweat a joint, you heat it until the solder melts when it is touched to the joint. There're likely numeric answers to your questions, but they are not of much practical use for most of us.
