Well, you covered the three LEAST effective drain cleaning methods. Chemicals seldom work, but when the do they only open the smallest opening possible so the rest of the chemical can flow down the drain. Baking soda and vinegar makes a nice volcano for a science project, but does NOTHING to clear a drain. Caustic soda iswhat most drain cleaners are made of and soap is usually what clogs the drain in the first place.
