The existing toilet is on a concrete slab 10.5 inches from the wall. We need to replace this one but the new one requires 12" min. from the wall. What is the best solution ? Thanks!

Pick up a 10" rough toilet.

Everybody makes one.

Another good option to consider would be one of Toto's toilets that use their Unifit adapter. Would not be as inexpensive as some, but very high quality.

Toilets come in 3 standard rough-in sizes: 14", 12", and 10". The preferred size is 12", but sometimes because of floor joist or other problems, the other sizes are use. Problem with the 14" and 10" is there are fewer options in style available. Toto devised their Unifit Adapter that will allow several of their skirted toilets to fit all three of the rough-in sizes by selecting the proper adapter. These adapters will work on only specific Toto model toilets. The skirting on the base hides the adapter. You do not move the flange to use these adapters. Installation is a bit more involved than the conventional, but is not beyond most DIY.
