toilet flushes half of bowl

I have a new American Standard toilet. When I flush it, water only comes out of the left side of the bowl. This leaves the right side dirty. I checked the right side and it does have holes for the water, and they do not appear to be clogged. Any advice on how to get the toilet to flush on both sides? Thanks in advance

Take it back and try another one...my opinion. Call the manufacturer, or e-mail them and get their thoughts. How did the model you bought rate (if it was rated)? It may just be a poor performer.
