Hello everyone - I purchased a universal toilet flange to be inserted into 4 inch cast iron. The flange can be found here: http://plumbest.com/spec_sheets/c4733p.pdf. My problem is that it will not fit - it is just too large to fit into the cast iron opening. I scraped and wire brushed the inside of the cast iron pipe thinking maybe some of the build up was preventing the flange from fitting nicely but it just will not fit.

The measurements of the cast iron pipe are as follows: outside diameter=4 3/8 inches, inside diameter=3 13/16 inches.

What options would you suggest at this point? Any particular flanges?

Thanks!
