I have tried to light my pilot but it keeps going out after about 30 seconds.
Would it be my thermal coupler and if so does anyone know how I go about replacing it????

That's what it sound like. You can get a new one at most hardware stores. The package should have directions, the process is not difficult.

If the water heater is from July 2003 or later, the "standard" parts in the store will not be the right one.
