tank bolt distance from wall too small?

I am replacing my toilet and the bolts in the floor are 11.5" from the wall. Is there enough wiggle room to fit in a standard 12" bolt toilet? My current tank lid is 1/2 inch from the wall. I have not removed the current toilet from the floor yet.

YOu should be able to squeese on in, there is a little bit of play in the mounting of toilets.

It depends on the toilet. There is NOTHING standard about the distance between the wall and the tank even though they are all called 12" toilets.

Thanks guys. I will go get one and see what happens. I had been putting it off, but my 4 year old decided to look inside the tank and dropped the lid on the floor. She survived without injury, but the lid died a quick death.

Most new 12" toilets will work at 11-1/2" from center.
The Toto Drake works at 10-7/8" from center.
