Hello folks,

I'm new here and I have a questions. I thought most of the sump pumps either plastic or cast iron should have 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 female outlet but I saw some others have male outlet threaded. I'm puzzled where should those male outlet sump pumps be used? Are they used in garden instead of house?

It looks like the pump on the right comes with a barbed adapter for a hose. It is not clear what the thread is once you unscrew the adapter.
