Soldered Stem -Mansfield Frost-Proof Sill Cock

I have an old Mansfield frost-free hydrant with white handle hooked up outside. The closest match seems to be a Mansfield 300. The faucet handle rotates, but I am unable to turn on the water. It was working a day before, I turned handle CW several times as the water would not turn OFF. This might give a clue as to how I might have damaged it.

The Plumber told me there is not option but to tear down the wall as the stem is soldered. He told me I might burst the pipe behind the wall if I removed the stem. I hate to tear down the wall and found replacement parts online. I can buy the entire stem with all necessary valves and washers. I need to measure my old stem. Can I remove the stem on my old Mansfield frost-free hydrant? Is the stem soldered on these old Mansfield frost-free hydrants?

FYI- here is a good video

I will appreciate any comments. Thank you!
