Agree about the SPAM.

To answer the question, I installed a controller made by RainBird and it seems to work well. You do not tell it how long to water but type of grass, slope, type of soil, sun exposer and lots of other things and it decide when and how much to water. Have not got my first water bill yet so no idea if it saves money yet. I live in SoCal so by July I probable will not be allowed to water anyway!
