The last time we had our septic pumped, the man said our leach lines were clogged, causing them to drain slowly. Any advice on what I can flush down there to clear them and allow them to drain faster? :(

How would the guy who pumps your tank know that your leach field was clogged? The most he can see is the discharge pipe to the field.

If in fact your leach field is clogged up its probably clogged full of mud. I dont know of any way this can be cleared short of replacing the leach lines. Not saying there might not be a trick or two out there, but if a leach field has failed I recommend replacing it.

I would check your distribution box. My septic tank lid failed this fall. The contractor had me pull the top of the distribution box and I was amazed at the soap residue and other crud that had collected there. This might give you an idea of how bad you really are.

Does he have x-ray vision?
